About the event

Profs and Pints DC presents: “Being Queer, Surviving Trump,” a discussion of how LGBTQ people can navigate a legally and politically dangerous time, with Hallie Miracle, adjunct professor of criminal justice and political science at the University of the District of Columbia and scholar of the LGBTQ community and politics.

It is no secret that we are in unprecedented political times, but what does that mean for queer folks?

Learn about President Trump’s threats to the LGBTQ community, and how queer people and their allies can prepare themselves for the next three and a half years, with Hallie Miracle, a queer-identifying researcher of law and politics.

We’ll look at a timeline of Trump’s tactics and executive orders, examining how the orders issued in his first term paved the way for even more harmful ones in his second. All told, he has signed more anti-LGBTQ executive orders than any other President…
